VELUX anti-heat blind blocks the sun's rays before they hit your roof window, making them the superior and right choice for reducing indoor heat without compromising daylight. Made of a durable and transparent mesh fabric, it provides light-dimming yet retains the view to the outside, all the while reducing the heat from the sun.
There are currently three different options available for you to purchase and fit to help keep your room nice and cool, all of which can be identified by a three-letter prefix. These are as follows:
VELUX manual anti-heat blinds offer easy operation by hand. The blind can be installed and operated from the inside the room.
These blinds are for use with the Velux range of Integra windows and are operated via a remote-controlled handset. This gives you the option of opening and closing them from any point in the room-even if you are reclined on the sofa.
Do note, however, that they are designed to fit the VELUX Integra electric windows only and cannot be fitted to any other roof window type.
These give you the option of having an environmentally friendly choice to block light from your roof windows. Like the electric blinds, they are operated using a remotely controlled handset and will fit all manually operated Velux loft windows as well as the Solar Powered Integra range. They can, of course, also be manually operated if you prefer.
The blind can be installed and operated from the inside the room. Full fitting instructions are provided with each blind.
VELUX Anti-heat Blinds can reduce solar heat by up to 78%.
The heat protection function of VELUX anti-heat blinds depends on the window glazing. It is calculated using a procedure in accordance with the standards DIN EN ISO 12567-2, DIN EN 52022-3 and ISO 15099 with Sommer-Global (certified by ift Rosenheim) and refers to the heat radiation through the window.
For best performance, VELUX Anti-heat blinds use a black mesh and are therefore only available in one colour (code 5060).
