Blackout Remote Controlled Blinds (DSL)

The new remote control Blackout blind is a stylish, easy-to-install unit that brings a touch of luxury to your room.

These blinds were previously known as Siesta blinds.

In Spring 2007, Velux upgraded the Blackout Remote Control blind. The updated blind dispenses with the need to have a battery within a motor on the blind itself, replacing this with a solar panel. The panel draws its energy from ambient light and is thus a very contemporary and "green" product to have. These are now the Remote Controlled blinds that we send out as standard.

Batteries (for the Remote Control handset) last for approximately 1000 operations (about a year) and the blind can also be operated manually if required.

The blind is delivered in a single box, complete with remote control handset and installation instructions, and can be fitted in minutes.

The "Whiteline" trim option is not available for these windows-standard brushed aluminium trim only.
